Acquisition assets Elpar by Waysis

Yuno Advisors advised the Dutch company Waysis concerning the acquisition of assets related to the bankruptcy of Elpar, a company active in parking systems, in March 2020.

Waysis is market leader in the Netherlands in the field of “on street” parking solutions and enforcement. The operating company Taxameter Centrale offers on-street parking solutions and Brickyard develops enforcement solutions and innovative software for off-street parking environments such as parking garages and parking lots. Furthermore, Waysis founded “Real Time Parking” (RTP) solutions provider Yellowbrick in 2006, which was sold to the French Flowbird Group in 2019.

Elpar was an independent company active in parking systems, automated number plate recognition, access control, visitor registration and camera security, and as such had installed dozens of parking systems with proprietary developed software including service contracts. With the acquisition of the Elpar assets, including IP rights, Waysis solidifies its position in the rapidly developing digital off-street market, in which its Brickyard division is currently showing fast growth. With the X-Park solution, Brickyard already has customers such as G4S and the parking garage of the Mondriaan Tower in Amsterdam. With this acquisition, Waysis expects to further accelerate its growth.

After supporting Waysis in prior transactions such as Yellowbrick, Yuno Advisors has now also supported Waysis in the realisation of this transaction. Our advisory concerned the valuation, transaction structuring as well as support in the deal negotiations.
