Karsten International acquires Remalux

Yuno Advisors advised Karsten International – a full-service partner for non-food products located in Amsterdam – on the purchase of Remalux, part of the investment portfolio of private equity firm MKB Fonds. Remalux, located in Purmerend, is a trading company in non-food products which are sold worldwide.

Remalux and Karsten International both serve the European market of non-food retail chains. The two companies offer a broad assortment of non-food products, such as household goods, care & beauty products, consumer electronics and hobby products, to non-food discounters, supermarkets, pharmacies, hardware stores and wholesalers. Karsten also operates an own webshop and develops turn-key product concepts and (private) labels for its customers.

Yuno Advisors assisted the owner-manager Peter Karsten of Karsten International in the entire process. The advice covered all aspects of the M&A process, including the valuation and structuring of the transaction, supporting in the deal negotiations, coordinating the due diligence process, and arranging the required acquisition financing.
