Acquisition of The Impulse Factory by 2050foods

Yuno Advisors has advised 2050foods on its acquisition of The Impulse Factory, an innovative organic and ‘healthier’ snack company.

The Impulse Factory (www.the-impulse-factory.nl) was founded in 1999 by Jos de Moor. In the years since, The Impulse Factory has grown into a versatile and innovative partner in the field of organic and healthier snack products, made from a.o. pulses and seeds such as lentils, chickpeas and quinoa. The products are sold to food retailers and organic specialty shops in the Netherlands and abroad.

2050foods is an investment company founded several years ago by Jimme Slippens and Gijs van Maasakkers, through which they have successfully set up and grown several food companies into full grown businesses as well as invested in several successful food start-ups. One of their companies is Abbot Kinney’s, a coconut-based plant-based dairy substitute, which was eventually sold to Ecotone (formerly Wessanen) in 2018. Other 2050foods’ businesses include G’nger Drinks and pet food brand Teds.

Yuno Advisors assisted 2050foods throughout the acquisition and financing process. Our advice included general project coordination, preparation of documentation, supervision of the due diligence process, arranging the necessary acquisition financing and structuring the transaction.
