May 28, 2024
- Deal type: Acquisition
- Sector: Food & Agri
- Buyer: 2050foods
- Target: The Impulse Factory
Yuno Advisors has advised 2050foods on its acquisition of The Impulse Factory, an innovative organic and “healthier” snack company.
The Impulse Factory (www.the-impulse-factory.nl) was founded in 1999 by Jos de Moor. Since its foundation, the company has grown into a versatile and innovative partner in the field of organic and healthier snack products, made from, among others, pulses and seeds such as lentils, chickpeas and quinoa. The products are sold to food retailers and organic specialty shops in the Netherlands and abroad.
2050foods is an investment company founded several years ago by Jimme Slippens and Gijs van Maasakkers, through which they have successfully set up and grown several food companies into fully developed businesses, as well as invested in a number of successful food start-ups. One of their companies is Abbot Kinney’s, a coconut-based plant-based dairy substitute, which was sold to Ecotone (formerly Wessanen) in 2018. Other 2050foods businesses include G’nger Drinks and pet food brand Teds.
Yuno Advisors assisted 2050foods throughout the acquisition and financing process. The advisory work included overall project coordination, preparation of transaction documentation, supervision of the due diligence process, arranging the required acquisition financing and structuring the transaction.
