Sale Krakend Vers (OnOats) to Koekjesbakkerij Veldt / Calm Investments

Yuno Advisors has advised Krakend Vers – a producer of artisanal OnOats crackers, oat cookies and granola – in its sale to Koekjesbakkerij Veldt, a portfolio company of Rotterdam-based Calm Investments.

Founded in 2001, Krakend Vers (www.onoats.nl) started as a pastry store in Bunschoten-Spakenburg. As an artisanal supplier to bakery stores, specialty stores, wholesalers, caterers and online delivery services, Krakend Vers has developed strongly in recent years. By focusing on innovation, Krakend Vers has broadened its portfolio to include artisanal OnOats crackers, oat cookies and granola and is thus responding to the demand of younger and more conscious consumers. The development of OnOats crackers has put Krakend Vers on the map as a specialist and market leader within the fresh artisanal oat cracker segment.

Koekjesbakkerij Veldt (www.koekjesbakkerij.nl) is a producer of artisanal cookies and cookies based in Veenendaal. With its leading market position and innovative strategy Koekjesbakkerij Veldt supplies a wide range of (artisanal) cookies to retail, bakery wholesalers, bakery chains and the food service industry.

Since the beginning of 2021, Koekjesbakkerij Veldt is owned by Calm Investments (www.calminvestments.com), a Dutch independent investment company based in Rotterdam. Krakend Vers is the first add-on acquisition of Koekjesbakkerij Veldt with which it wants to further accelerate its growth through innovations from Krakend Vers.

Yuno Advisors acted as exclusive advisor to Krakend Vers throughout the process. Our role consisted of bringing parties together, performing a valuation, drafting an information document and other project documentation, general project coordination, managing the due diligence process, structuring the transaction and deal negotiations.
