Acquisition of Jaarbeurs Externe Catering by Dudok Groep

Yuno Advisors assisted Jaarbeurs in the sale of Jaarbeurs Externe Catering, since early 2015 active in the market under the label 360FOODEVENTS, to The Dudok Group.

360FOODEVENTS (www.360foodevents.nl) is the bundling of three party catering labels which have been part of Jaarbeurs Externe Catering, namely Grand Catering, Verhaaf en Taat & De Regt. The three labels are all active in the upper market segment with Grand Catering focusing on the Utrecht region (middle of the Netherlands) as well as party catering activities on locations of contract caterer Compass Group. Verhaaf Party Catering is a leading party caterer in the Amsterdam region, also taking care of the exploitation and catering of Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ and restaurant Zouthaven. Thirdly, Taat & De Regt is primarily active in The Hague, also taking care of the exploitation and catering on locations De Nieuwe Kerk and the Spaansche Hof.

After its strategic reorientation in 2013, Jaarbeurs decided to divest its non-core activities. The external catering activities were sold due to this strategic decision. Jaarbeurs will continue to take care of all culinary production on site of the Jaarbeurs locations including the Beatrix theatre in Utrecht city centre.

Dudok Group is a full service hospitality and catering group with its head office in Berkel en Rodenrijs. In addition to the “day hospitality” entities in Rotterdam and around, Dudok Group comprises many companies including Dudok, Cruise Terminal Rotterdam, Het Heeren Huys,  Dudok Patisserie as well as Ma Guise event catering and venue management. After a prior take over Maître Frederic, 360FOODEVENTS completed Dudok Group’s ambition to create a party & event catering group spanning the entire conurbation of Western Holland.

Our advisory covered a.o. the mapping of potential acquirers, drafting of the information memorandum, process documentation, due diligence co-ordination, deal structuring, drafting of the transaction documentation and advising Jaarbeurs in its internal decision making process.
